Project Overview
At the beginning of 2025, TraffiClair’s Radar-Vision Integrated Traffic Sensor was deployed on the Nansha Bridge in Guangzhou, providing precise real-time traffic data for a digital expressway capacity-expansion project.
The Nansha Bridge connects Guangzhou Nansha District and Dongguan, serving as a critical cross-river corridor in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, where traffic volumes surge during peak travel periods such as the Spring Festival travel rush.
Results
After the system went online, the bridge’s operational efficiency improved significantly:
Solution
TraffiClair’s camera-integrated radars combines millimeter-wave radar and high-definition video to deliver reliable, all-weather traffic perception. The system enables:
Reliable in Harsh Weather
Located in a subtropical monsoon climate, the Nansha Bridge frequently experiences high humidity, heavy rain, and dense fog. The radar-vision fusion approach ensures stable detection under low visibility conditions, delivering 24/7 reliable traffic monitoring for this critical transportation corridor.
This deployment highlights how advanced sensing technology can support smarter expressway operations and improve traffic efficiency on major infrastructure.
